The Marine Corps League Rose Program was started by Marine Edwin Gallagher from New York. He designed it to parallel the VFW "Poppy" program. Funds raised from selling the "Rose" are use to provide funds for our detachment to assist veterans and youth and provide other services to the community. Examples are help with bills, health and comfort items, scholarship assistance, humanitarian aid, and other needs. The funds raised are NOT used to pay for other detachment expenses, gatherings, Marine Corps League Ball, or other activities. The detachment provides full transperancy on the use of the funds. If you have questions, please contact the Commandant.
If you see Leaguers, Ladies Auxiliary or Young Marines distributing Marine Roses please take one and wear it proudly as a remembrances of the Marines that made the ultimate sacrifice.
